My Tomica Foreign Series

Tomica Foreign Series – commonly seen in “Blue and White Box” which began production in 1974.  Each foreign series car was packaged in a picture box that showed a flag of the country of that particular car.         (USA F_USA, Italy F_Italy, Germany F_Germany, United Kingdom F_UK and France F_Fracne.) Altogether there are 70 models being produced, from F1 to F70.

In 1988, this Tomica Foreign Series has been merged into the Tomica Common Series.  Most, if not all of the first 40 Tomica Foreign models have been transferred and were assigned a number that was its F Serial Number plus 80.

Example, Tomica Foreign Model, F6 (Rolls Royce Phantom VI) = Tomica Common Model, No. 086 (Rolls Royce Phantom VI).

Quite a great number of these Tomica Foreign models were discontinued after a few months’ appearance under the Tomica Common Series and about half of them had been discontinued after 2 years!
